The
2010 selection represents the culmination of a carefully designed selection
process to match the outstanding carcase traits we have always strived
for with a little more frame and scale. To continually focus on carcase
muscling and early maturity could have potentially led to a few areas
of concern for clients so we introduced outside genetics to keep our
breeding program 100 focused on commercial needs.
We have used several of these sires as ram lambs with a very good %
conception and some outstading lambs on the ground. All sires have beed
DNA tested for Hypo and it is our policy to use only tested free genetics
within our stud.
Due
to extremely high demand for our genetics we have no stud sires for
sale this year, however do contact us if you have any requirements for
sires as we can hold them if you are interested or older sires can become
available once we have used them for a season or two.

PENDARRA
108323
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
Gets
all the attention wherever he is seen. A young sire with great
visual appeal and sire strength, he is all class. Length, muscle,
bone and plenty of positives in all areas make this DG 080350
son the first choice for our keepers.
The Dam side of the pedigree has a combination of 2 very successful
lines for us; Pendarra 032264 &
Pendarra 053685 and we are confident
this young sire will deliver and be around for a few years in
our program.

PENDARRA
108415
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
One
could be forgiven for thinking we would have no need for another
Pendarra 3050 son but the carcase, barrel and softness that this
bloke has is just too good to overlook. Obviously will have to
use him selectively but will have a place in our program and with
a focus on carcase efficiency, this young sire will give us a
benchmark for future progeny. The sire of dam is Mount
Ronan 572, a sire that has performed exceptionally well for
us and a number of other studs.

PENDARRA
107978
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
The
bulk of carcase and strength of this young sire is exceptional.
Probably the heaviest of our keeper rams, this fellow is all muscle
on a large frame supported by plenty of bone. This DG 350 son
is a little different to 108323 (above) and will mainatin carcase
on the Pendarra 3050 ewe lines within our stud.
Once
again the dam side of the pedigree features Mount
Ronan 572 and also Pendarra 053708,
both outstanding sires that have bred on both within our stud
and others. This bloke is as solid as a rock both physically and
genetically.

PENDARRA
100021
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
A
very interesting son of Pendarra
085261, a ram that was was part of the unbeaten pairs that
we showed in 2009, and he has all the muscling and hindquarter
that his sire possessed and was noted for. A very soft and clean
sire, this bloke was used as a ram lamb and has lambs on the ground.
He has a great temperament and carcase and once again has a solid
pedigree behind him. Apart from Mount Ronan 572 (once again on
the dam side), the sire of the dam is
Pendarra 064480, a ram we had good success with before he
died at an early age.

PENDARRA
108038
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
This
bloke is the ram we were hoping for from Pendarra 097410 as he
died soon after joining last year. 7410 was a very interesting
young sire with a very tidy and efficient carcase and this young
sire was also used as as ram lamb.

PENDARRA
108202
Pedigree
& ASBV indexes
This
sire is just one of many outstanding progeny from Pendarra
086802 "Majestic" and has been used a ram
lamb. The 2 outstanding Sonning 331 sons that we used heavily
feature in the pedigree of this bloke; Pendarra 3753 and Pendarra
3708, and we are confident that he will have produced some outstanding
lambs in the 2011 drop. As we are intending to retain "Majestic"
for future use in our stud, we will keep this bloke as insurance
against any unforeseen occurrences. A very solid ram with great
carcase and conformation. |
