AVAGO 25/05  "ATOMIC"                            Pedigree & ASBV indexes

This outstanding young sire set new standards at Adelaide Royal when he recorded one of the highest scanned muscle measurements seen in the White Suffolk breed, and he is just an August drop ram. Recording a 51mm eye muscle depth at 116kgs, he was at the top for scanned muscle depth of the 300 White Suffolk exhibits and close to the highest measurement of all breeds in the entire shed, including mature rams. A very correct ram with good bone and a very clean soft head, this young sire has great pedigree including Detpa Grove 100/99, "Supreme" , Leahcim 127/94 "Meatman", both Galaxy Park 1340 & 1470 and Aylesbury Farm 3/92. Our objective at Avago was to produce high muscle sheep that would compete and be noticed in any show ring, we have certainly succeeded with this young sire and the interest shown by many at Adelaide in the muscling this fellow carries right through his carcase length, has encouraged us to continue with our Avago objectives despite some early disappointments and setbacks. This young sire is one that will add muscle and tremendous carcase length to any breeding program without losing type.
